Support for Research through the implementation of School-University Institutional Teaching Collaboration Initiatives

In recent years, numerous studies and experiences have been developed in the field of teacher education that promotes professional development. These include works that manage to create and maintain a network, a community of practice or other forms of collaborative work among teachers, whether from the same educational level or from different institutions and levels. Most of these are joint work experiences carried out around the practical component in initial teacher training in which a methodology is used that falls within the broad field of qualitative research. Although all these studies reveal a field of work in which the productive relationships among the university, the educational centers, and their community are evident, none have addressed the professional growth of teachers through bidirectional training exchange between public early childhood and primary education centers and the university. This is a new format or formula that has proven to be effective and that allows further progress to be made in the field of initial and continuing teacher training. Aware of the benefits derived from this, the University of Granada (Spain) launches an initiative in the 2020-2021 academic year with the implementation of the experimental program HERMES. The main purpose is to create networks and working groups between teachers from schools and universities to facilitate the implementation of joint training, innovation and/or research projects in the next academic years. The bidirectional training stays between the educational center and the university give the Program an innovative profile within our country. This paper focuses its attention on it

Current Challenges for Long-Term Care Management in Spain

AbstractDue to the demographic and social changes that have taken place in recent years, Spanish society is undergoing a progressive ageing process, with increasing numbers of dependent people thus requiring long-term care. The main purpose of the present paper is to analyze the challenges inherent in managing these healthcare services. We start by examining the last ‘Survey on Disability, Personal Autonomy and Dependency’ conducted by the National Institute of Statistics and the ‘Dependency Law’, which constitutes the greatest breakthrough there has been in the field of social protection in Spain in recent decades. As w ell as studying the participation of the General State Administration and the Regional Autonomous Communities, we highlight the cooperation, coordination and financial support demanded of these government entities. Effective management is only possible if this commitment is fulfilled, based on identifying current needs and establishing appropriate action towards the achievement of well-defined healthcare goals

La investigación sobre creencias docentes a través del método de encuesta

En el presente artículo se informa del proceso llevado a cabo en la elaboración de un instrumento de recogida de datos, en concreto, un inventario de creencias, explicándose de forma pormenorizada los pasos seguidos en el diseño, validación y aplicación del mismo. Con este instrumento se pretende aproximarnos lo mejor posible al amplio universo de creencias que sobre la formación práctica universitaria poseen los futuros profesores de la Universidad de Granada, antes y después de su inmersión en los escenarios de prácticum. La inquietud por ahondar en los esquemas de pensamiento de los aprendices de profesor sobre su entrenamiento práctico posibilitará conocer mejor su posible impacto en la preparación profesional de los docentes, sobre todo en estos momentos en los que se está replanteando su papel en la configuración de los nuevos planes de estudios de Maestro debido a la integración del sistema universitario español en el área europea de educación superior.____________________________________________In this paper, the process followed in the development of an instrument for data collection, in particular, an inventory of beliefs is showed, explaining in detail the steps of its design, validation and implementation. With this instrument it is intended to bring us to the great universe of beliefs that student teachers at the University of Granada possess on university practical training, before and after the practicum. The concerns about delving into the thought schemes of student teachers about their practical training will enable to know their possible impact on the professional preparation better, especially in these times when its role is being rethought in shaping the new curriculum of Teacher Training due to the integration of the Spanish university system in the European Higher Education Area

La apuesta por la excelencia en la formación práctica universitaria de futuros profesores

Las revisiones de las aportaciones científicas que se hacen a las reuniones y encuentros sobre la formación inicial del docente, en general, y sobre el prácticum, de un modo más particular, dan a conocer el enorme interés científico que este componente formativo despierta entre los investigadores y proporcionan una idea del volumen de la producción en este foco de indagación científica. Professional role of pedagogue in hospital centers as exceptional educational fields

En la literatura científica especializada en el campo de la preparación profesional de los pedagogos se vislumbran espacios y escenarios de inserción profesional bien diferentes a los tradicionales. El presente trabajo pretende ser una contribución en esta dirección, analizando el papel del pedagogo en las aulas hospitalarias. A lo largo del artículo, se justifica cómo la presencia del pedagogo en estos dominios no convencionales se erige como una necesidad vital y se esbozan cuáles son las funciones, tareas y competencias propias o de uso profesional de los pedagogos hospitalarios. Por último, se evidencia uno de los problemas del campo profesional que requiere respuesta desde la formación inicial, abogándose por una cualificación más acorde con la labor del pedagogo en estos ámbitos educativos excepcionales.In specializing scientific literature in the field of professional preparation of pedagogues, some spaces and scenarios of professional insertion are emerging, which are very different from traditional ones. This paper seeks to make a contribution in this direction, analyzing the role of pedagogue in hospital classrooms. Throughout the article, the presence of pedagogue in these unconventional domains as a vital necessity is justified and it is shown which the functions, tasks and own or professional skills of hospital pedagogues are. Finally, one of the problems of the professional area that requires response from initial training is evidenced, advocating by a qualification that should be more consistent with the work of pedagogue in these exceptional educational fields

Contribución de los proyectos de innovación docente en la mejora del prácticum

La mejora del Prácticum por competencias que cursan estudiantes universitarios a través del diseño, desarrollo y evaluación de un proyecto de innovación docente se ha convertido en una de las preocupaciones principales de un grupo de profesores de la Universidad de Granada. Concretamente, este estudio informa de una acción de trabajo conjunto que se encuadra dentro de un proyecto de investigación de mayor envergadura que vienen desarrollando varios profesores de la Facultad de Educación y Humanidades de Ceuta de la Universidad de Granada, financiado por la Unidad de Innovación Docente de esta Universidad dentro de la convocatoria 2008-2009 de Proyectos de Innovación Docente, titulado “Prácticum de Psicopedagogía: Elaboración conjunta de un manual de buenas prácticas externas en centros socioeducativos basadas en el desarrollo de las competencias profesionales”, que surge con el ánimo de conseguir la mayor adecuación posible entre la formación superior que reciben los estudiantes de Psicopedagogía y las condiciones y demandas profesionales del mercado laboral.Improving the Practicum by competences that University students do through the design, development and evaluation of a teaching innovation project has become one of the main concerns of a group of professors at University of Granada. Implications of the educative action in spaces of specific professional orientation in Spain

En los últimos años, ha aumentado considerablemente el número de publicaciones que ilustran actuaciones educativas en espacios excepcionales de proyección profesional, como aquellas que necesitan los menores enfermos y/u hospitalizados, no sólo desde el punto de vista físico o médico, sino también desde el psicológico y educativo. Concretamente, como parte del abordaje integral de las situaciones de atención a necesidades educativas especiales en los hospitales, surgen las aulas hospitalarias; entornos de enseñanza-aprendizaje que, dadas sus características peculiares de espacio y ubicación, demandan una intervención psicopedagógica eficaz, diferente de la ordinaria. El presente trabajo pretende ser una contribución en esta dirección, centrando su atención, primero, en descifrar el sentido de la Psicopedagogía en el contexto hospitalario. A este respecto, la literatura deja constancia de que la intervención psicopedagógica en las aulas hospitalarias cobra sentido e importancia al tener, como objetivo último, ayudar a reforzar y apoyar psicológica y educativamente los procesos de enfermedad y hospitalización infantil, con el fin de conseguir la mayor normalización en la vida del paciente y su familia. A continuación, el artículo profundiza en el estudio de una formación adecuada para el profesional de la Psicopedagogía Hospitalaria, identificando cuatro clusters de competencias: competencias pedagógico-didácticas, competencias político-institucionales, competencias interactivas y competencias específicas. Por último, recoge las principales implicaciones educativas del trabajo en este contexto, perfilando propuestas para la acción.In the last years, there has been considerable increase in the number of publications depicting educative actions in special spaces of professional orientation, such as those required by sick and/or hospitalized youngsters, not just from the physical or medical viewpoint, but also from the psychological and educative one. In concrete terms, as part of the integral approach to situations of attention to the special educative needs in hospitals, emerge the ‘hospital classes’, teaching-learning environments which, given their specific characteristics of space and location, require an efficient psychopedagogical intervention, different from the normal one. The present work aims to contribute along these lines, centering its attention, firstly, at deciphering the meaning of Psychopedagogy within the hospital context. In this respect, the literature shows evidence of the fact that the psychopedagogical intervention in the hospital classes acquires significance and importance by having as its ultimate goal to help sustaining and supporting psychologically and educationally the children’s processes of illness and hospitalization, with the purpose of preserving the best possible normality for the patient’s life and those of their relatives. Next, the article goes further into the investigation of what would constitute an appropriate formation for the professional of Hospital Psychopedagogy, identifying four clusters of competences: pedagogical-didactical competences, political- -institutional competences, interactive competences, and specific competences. Lastly, the text collects the main educative implications of the work in this context, lining up proposals for action

Análisis de las creencias que sobre la formación práctica universitaria poseen futuros docentes

El presente estudio se encuadra dentro de un trabajo de investigación de mayor envergadura realizado en la Facultad de Ciencias de la Educación de la Universidad de Granada. Nuestro propósito principal es organizar y resumir el amplio abanico de creencias que sobre el entrenamiento práctico universitario poseen los estudiantes de profesorado de esta universidad, tras realizar su estancia en los centros de prácticum. En concreto, queremos averiguar si las creencias que poseen los futuros docentes con experiencia de prácticum sobre este componente formativo pueden reducirse a un número finito de factores que las representen de manera comprensivaThe present study is part of a research of greater spread carried out in the Faculty of Education, University of Granada. Our main intention is to organize and summarize the wide range of beliefs that students teacher of this university have regarding the university practical training, after attending their stay in the centres of practicum. Nuevas tecnologías para la vida autónoma de las personas dependientes

La domótica, robótica y teleasistencia son perfiladas en este trabajo como tecnología con sentido de ayuda a la vida autónoma e independiente. Se presentan como herramientas extraordinariamente eficaces y, por qué no, ayudas técnicas para mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas dependientes y/o con alguna discapacidad. Tras conocer la experiencia y trayectoria profesional de docentes universitarios que están trabajando en proyectos y desarrollando experiencias que hacen uso de las ventajas que ofrecen estas tecnologías para dar apoyo a este colectivo de ciudadanos, se ilustra un ejemplo de buena práctica docente en este terreno. Y, por último, se retrata el estado actual y el futuro cercano y prometedor de la aplicación de las tecnologías a la promoción de la autonomía y a la protección de las situaciones de dependencia

From the Transmission of Knowledge to the Dialogical Model in the Teaching-Learning Process

In the society of communication and information, the relationships between individuals have changed substantially. The school, as a reflection of the society and that the students are going to inherit, cannot be left out. Previous educational conceptions focused on the individual in isolation, now subjects must be considered in relation to their cultural and social contexts. Societies have taken a dialogical turn of such a magnitude that the educational sciences cannot and should not be overlooked. This article intends to expose the firm idea that a new conception of learning should be promoted that leads to higher levels of understanding of reality and allows students to have an active control in their own learning process. Dialogic learning emerges from the evidence of how people learn dialogically. This being so, the role of the teacher acquires a new dimension
